  The main building is a lovely old house in stunning gardens and countryside.

  I was disappointed with the room, the glass panel over the door let light in from the corridor all night, and it was fairly basic, but what really let is down was the general air of grubbiness. I was there on my own for business and so not overly concerned but had I been away for pleasure with my family I would have been extremely disappointed. Also, most of the staff were charming and helpful but I did encounter a couple who must have missed the training that covered 'people skills'. However, if I am being entirely fair, the venue caters for conferences and corporate events and the rooms are not designed for famillies or for anything other than somewhere to sleep.... So in this sense the room was more than adequate, and very reasonable for the price.

  Breakfast was great with plenty of choice with fresh fruit.

  The shower was suitable for someone who was 5ft or below and the water came out as a trickle! Silly small cups! Only 5 channels on TV. Although staff very friendly I wasn't asked if everything was ok with my stay.

  The grounds were very pleasant for a wedding. Basic, good sized rooms with plenty of storage and plugs

  There was not any information about the services on offer in the room. There was only one main light in the room which did not give out much light and the one bedside light was not working.

  As a female travelling on my own alot, I tend to spend alot of time in my hotel as I feel uncomfortable sitting in bars and restuarants. Therefore the folloing two point would have made my stay more enjoyable. 1. room service - I ended up not having an evening meal 2. with freeview so widely availlable, I would have expected more channels then the basic 5.

  Very pleasant and professional staff. Great breakfast.

  Unreasonable check out time of 9.00 ! I would never have booked this hotel if I had realised this unreasonable check out was going to be enforced, was refused a couple of hours until midday ! Made my morning difficult needlessly.

  The best thing about this place is the road out , avoid like the plague

  If you do decide to stay here avoid the East Wing, the bed is so uncomfortable, the shower is poor in fact the whole place is rubbish, My first room smelt of stale urine and the second room was so dirty it was a joke.

  The Bar lounge wascold with a draught blowing in through the front door not very comfortable enviroment to eat your evening meal.The breakfast was cold fat congealing on the black pudding tomatoe very cold inside.

  The Node is a clean and comfortable hotel. the staff are friendly and efficient. I paid £45 and got a fantastic breakfast included with plenty of choice including smoked salmon

  It was quite for a good night sleep and fit for purpose

  Yes for a start it is not a hotel but a conference centre and when we arrived at 23.55 in the dark looking for a hotel it is quite difficult to find . Please state on your Site the correct information. thank you

  The tranquil surroundings and the efficient, friendly staff.

  Thought the decor was very dated and tired and the room walls were far too thin - could hear next door's alarm clock perfectly at 5.30am!!!

  Finding it!! Entered the post code into sat nav which then took me to knebworth House!! Would be better off heading for Langley on b656 as location is nearer to this point than Hitchin!!
